One day, I woke up to a strange sound. That sound was the voice of a man named Odysseus. I looked down below, and I saw Odysseus and his men going into Polyphemus’ cave. I didn’t like to eavesdrop, but Polyphemus didn’t have any friends besides his brothers. I was about to say something to Polyphemus, but I thought it would get interesting. I watched as Odysseus devoured the food in the Cyclops’ cave. The men did not pray to me before they ate, so I held a grudge. After all, I am the god of what they are eating. When Polyphemus came in the men were terrified. When they got Polyphemus drunk and stabbed him, I laughed. Polyphemus was such a brat when he was little. As Odysseus and his men left he told the Cyclops his name. A mistake no man should make. Polyphemus cried to his dad, and so became the curse of Polyphemus.
The next day, I went looking for the group of men. I knew they were headed to Ithaca, but the waves seemed to be taking him towards Scylla and Charibidis. I knew what was going to happen. More men were to die. I hated to see such horror so I talked to Poseidon. Poseidon said that he deserved every bit of his cruelty. I sympathized him. I made a promise to Poseidon that I would not give Odysseus and his men food until after they got to the Cattle of Helios. In return, Poseidon would part the water so I could take my girlfriend Athena and I to the deepest point in the Pacific Ocean. It was amazing. Anyway When I watched the thunderbolt strike Odysseus’ men, it was like watching fireworks on the 4th without the joy. Wood flew, men flew, and everything else with the ship. I saw Odysseus shed a tear. Perhaps the bravest man I knew, had just lost everything.
